For All Lip Shapes
  • For all lip shapes. -- To make the most of your lips, try this basic application technique.
    1)Define the V-shape at the center of the upper lip along natural lip line with lip liner pencil.
    2)Extend the line out to each corner using short, feathery strokes.
    3)Define center of bottom lip and complete line by working from outside corners of mouth in. Blend with lip brush.
    4)Apply lipstick to top lip working from center out, then to bottom lip sweeping color from corner to corner.
    5)Blend along edges and into corner with lip brush.
  • For Full Lip Shapes
  • For Full Lips -- In addition to learning the right application technique, full lips can appear less full be choosing matte, mutted lip colors.
    1)Apply foundation along your natural lip line, then pat on a little face powder.
    2)Using lip liner pencil, draw a fairly thick line just inside the natural lip line. Use a lip brush to soften the line, then apply lipstick.
    3)To finish, fill in corners and retouch along edge using a lip brush.
  • For Thin Lip Shapes
  • For Thin Lips -- When choosing lipstick shades, choose relatively clear lip gloss over your lipstick to make thin lips appear fuller.
    1)Using a lip liner pencil, line just a fraction outside your natural lip line.
    2)Go back over line so it also covers your natural lip line, then soften with a lip brush.
    3)Apply lipstick, and retouch along the edge and in corners with brush.
